Last year, Chrysler conducted a comparison study on the Chrysler 200 Limited versus the Toyota Camry SE. Who do you think emerged as the “winner”? Well, here are some key points from what Vehicle Evaluation Specialist, Paul Gerrard had to say:
Acceleration
- Thanks to the 283P Pentastar V6 engine, the Chrysler 200 is able to keep the weight evenly distributed upon acceleration
- The Toyota Camry gets a lot of wheel spin which is due to the weight shifted off the front tires toward the back of the vehicle
Lane Change and Maneuverability
Successful evasive maneuvering: Chrysler 200 displayed poise and performance
Toyota Camry has a lot of body shifting and a fair amount of understeer, which requires immediate attention from the stability control system, which in turn basically shuts the car down
Interior Sound Level, highway speeds
Chrysler 200 is about 1.5 decibels quieter than the Toyota Camry at 60 mph
