If your new Dodge Journey is equipped with a power sunroof, follow these instructions to learn how to operate it.
The power sunroof switch can be found between the two sun visors on the overhead console.
To open the sunroof manually:
- Press and hold the sunroof switch in the rearward position.
- When the sunroof is in the desired position, release the switch and it will stop moving.
- If you continue to hold the switch in the rearward position, the sunroof will continue to open and will stop automatically when fully open.
- When the sunroof stops moving, release the sunroof switch.
To open the sunroof automatically:
- Press the sunroof switch rearward and release. Doing this will cause the sunroof to open automatically from any position
- It will open completely and stop automatically.
- Any movement of the sunroof switch will cause the sunroof to stop.
To close the sunroof manually:
- Press and hold the sunroof switch in the forward position.
- Release the switch when the sunroof is either closed or in the desired position.
- If you continue to hold the switch in the forward position, the sunroof will close fully then stop moving automatically.
- When the sunroof stops moving, release the sunroof switch.
To close the sunroof automatically:
- Press the sunroof switch forward and release. Doing this will cause the sunroof to close automatically from any position.
- It will close completely and stop automatically.
- Any movement of the sunroof switch will cause the sunroof to stop.
One of the great features is called the “Pinch Protect Feature.” This means that if an obstruction is in the path of the sunroof, it will automatically retract.
