When reintroduced in 2008, the Dodge Avenger designers wanted it to stand out among the competition while representing something memorable. Some of the prominent features of the 2012 Dodge Avenger’s exterior are the projector fog lights, the honey comb background on the front grill, the standard 18-inch wheels, the signature Dodge spoiler, and the dual exhaust pipes.
Interior
- With thickened material on the steering wheel, it gives you a better feel when gripping the wheel.
- All of the materials are soft to touch
- Accent stitching through the car
- Intricate design detail through the interior
- The Avenger R/T has a z-stripe running down the driver seat, like the original Avenger did
- Unique cloth material for the seats to prevent sliding and sticking to the seat
- Red interior lighting
- Internal radio and entertainment system that has a 40GB hard drive
Value
The Dodge Avenger SXT is the most affordable mid-size sedan in its class. The SXT comes with the 3.6L V6 engine, so you don’t need to upgrade up to the R/T model to get the power that the V6 gives you. This car represents affordability, value, and luxury combined as one. The car comes standard with all airbags, as well.
The Dodge Avenger R/T comes standard with the Boston Premium Acoustic Audio system, which is a 276 watt sound system. The R/T also comes with the touch screen entertainment system with radio.
The Dodge Avengers do not sacrifice design or luxury for value and affordability.
Performance
The Dodge Avenger comes with two different engine options. First, the 2X40 4-Liter engine which is coupled with the 6-speed automatic, available in the Avenger SXT, which will get you 31 mpg. And second, there is the 3.6-Liter Pentastar engine, which has been named one of the top 10 engines. This is probably because of the 29 mpg, the 283 horsepower, and 260 pounds of torque. The vehicle was lowered by 17mm toward the ground to give it more of a performance stance. Not only is this more visually attractive, but it improves the handling of the vehicle. The suspension of the R/T is a little stiffer so it is more performance-oriented. The engine is made in America and the vehicle is made in Michigan, specifically.
