In the automotive industry, there are trends that come and go just as in the fashion industry where clothes come in and out of style each season. Buying a car is a long-term decision and purchasing based on current trends may be a questionable choice. However, some of the currently popular trends seem to be here to stay, which may be helpful to keep in mind during your search for your new vehicle.
Some of the latest trends in the automotive industry include:
- Comfort and convenience of vehicle controls
- Driver assistance
- Information/entertainment communication systems
One of the vehicles that stand out because it features all three of these trends is the all-new 2013 Dodge Dart. This groundbreaking compact sedan is a vehicle with state of the art features, high quality performance, and modern and luxury style.
Convenient Vehicle Controls
As one of the most technologically advanced car in its class, the 2013 Dodge Dart has several features in the instrument cluster above the wheel for convenient and comfortable controls of the vehicle. The Dodge Dart features a 7-in Thin Film Transistor (TFT) reconfigurable cluster display that displays real-time information and vehicle status information. The graphics and colors of the display can also be controlled by the driver for added aesthetic comfort. The driver may toggle between different speedometer displays, track driver efficiency, monitor tire pressure and lights, and view vivid turn-by-turn navigational information.
Driver Assistance
The all-new 2013 Dodge Dart comes equipped with the Parkview rear back-up camera which aids in parallel parking, backing out of parking spaces, avoiding pedestrians, and more. When the vehicle is in reverse, the Uconnect touchscreen shows the image of the space behind your Dart for safety of yourself, car, and others.
The Rear Cross Path Detection uses radar that detects lateral movement on both sides of your car. The driver receives an audible and icon indicator as a warning if someone is coming or in the way. This helps the driver when backing out of a parking space and cannot see things coming from the side.
Information/entertainment Communication systems
The 2013 Dodge Dart features the largest Uconnect touch screen in the compact car class at 8.4 inches. The Uconnect media hub controls: the Uconnect phone, voice command and Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, entertainment (for media and multimedia players), and Uconnect Navigation. You have the ability to access up-to-the-minute weather, sports, movie ticket listing, and fuel prices at just the touch of a button. Many of these features can be operated via wheel-mounted controls so you can keep your eyes on the road to help aid in your safety.
