Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina & Virginia
This 469 mile drive through the Appalachian Mountains starts in the Great Smoky Mountains and turns into the Shenandoah Skyline Drive. This drive features windy roads and stunning foliage.
Flint Hills, Kansas
This road will surprise you with its charm and beauty. The 45 miles from Emporia to Florence along US 50 will show you what the heartland of America used to look like. Experiencing this drive in the spring will remind you of Ireland, but go in the autumn and you’ll feel as if you’re in a whole new place.
Road to Hana, Hawaii

Trail Ridge Road, Colorado
This road is an hour northwest of Denver and is the highest paved road through the United States. The highest part of this drive is at 12,183 feet. While this is a safe road to drive, it is only open during the summer and warmer months because of the heavy snowfall during the winter that can be potentially dangerous. This parkway runs from the New York-Connecticut state line approximately 37 miles to Milford, Connecticut. This highway is listed on the National Register of Historic Places because of the stone arch bridges and natural beauty.

Starting in Orange County, the PCH runs all the way up to Mendocino County in California. This road runs along the state’s coastline with views of the Pacific Ocean.
