- Comments Off on Home Link system in 2012 Chrysler 200
Home Link replaces up to THREE remote controls or handheld transmitters, like garage door openers, motorized gates, lighting, and even home security systems. The buttons are located in the headliner or sun visor.
It is recommended that the battery be replaced in the handheld device(s) being programmed to Home Link for maximum efficiency. Additionally, Home Link is powered via your vehicle’s battery, so it does not require battery charge or replacement.
How do I program my remote controls to the Home Link buttons? Before you can sync the Home Link buttons to your remote controls, you first must erase any pre-programed information. To do this, hold down the two outside buttons at the same time until the red buttons flashes. It may take up to 20 seconds.
When programming the system, your vehicle should be parked [...]

- Comments Off on 2012 Chrysler Town & Country: 42 Advanced Safety and Technology Features
What was the most surprising about the 2012 Chrysler Town & Country was not the storage space or the entertainment system, but the 42 safety and technology features that come standard. Of course, there is comfort in knowing the Town & Country is equipped with supplemental side-curtain, advanced multistage front, and front seat-mounted side airbags, but the innovative technological safety features are even more impressive.
At one time or another, everyone has had trouble with blind spots, but the Blind Spot Monitoring is a radar technology that will alert you of proximity danger while you drive. An illuminated icon appears on the side view mirror (or you can choose to hear an audible warning) when another vehicle is next to you. Furthermore, the Rear Cross Path Detection will alert you of approaching low-speed vehicles when backing out of a parking spot. This is perfect for places like the grocery store parking lot on a busy [...]

- Comments Off on 2012 Chrysler 200: What is all the hype about?
Well, take a seat in it and you’ll know! I was impressed with this luxury sedan as soon as I opened the door. The first things that stood out to me, being a detail person, were the beautiful black leather seats that were accented with double-stitched white trim. After I adjusted the power seats, I used the integrated controls on the four-spoke steering wheel to choose a radio station via uconnect (touch screen media hub).
As soon as I left the Paul Sherry dealership parking lot, I drove about a quarter mile before I hit the railroad tracks. Normally, I would slow way down before driving over railroad tracks, but I wanted to see how the Chrysler 200 handled a bumpy and uneven surface – to my surprise, it handled beautifully and perfectly smooth. When I turned onto the access road to merge onto the highway, I took the “S” curve at full speed. The [...]

- Comments Off on A Comprehensive Test Drive of the Chrysler 200 S Sedan
At first sight of the Chrysler 200, it looks like a compact car that is focused on gas mileage. What will give the 200 the initial impression of the “compact car” is the size. But of course you will see the 200 at the dealership, and nine times out of ten times, it will be sitting next to the older brother, the Chrysler 300. Then I thought to myself,
“what is Chrysler doing trying to make just a fuel-efficient car?”
But just as I thought I was climbing into a compact small fuel-efficient car, I sat inside and you will quickly realize that you were completely wrong. As I sat inside, my immediate attention went straight toward luxurious features the 200 has to offer. The interior has a very clean organized layout, with a traditional hand clock to give it that “luxury” exclamation point that you expect from a Chrysler.
As I adjusted the seat, [...]

For Detroit-based GM, retail sales were up 3 percent and accounted for 77 percent of all sales, the carmaker said Tuesday morning in a news release.
“Chevrolet led the way for GM in October, driven by the continued success of the Cruze and Equinox,” said Don Johnson, vice president, U.S. Sales Operations, in a statement. “Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac and GMC have all performed well this year, which has set the stage for our transition to a higher mix of 2012 model-year vehicles. Combined with the launches of several new fuel-efficient cars, including the Chevrolet Sonic and Buick LaCrosse eAssist, we are very well positioned going forward.”
GM sold 186,895 vehicles in October and Chevrolet did the all [...]
