- Comments Off on Dodge Dart: Electronic Stability Control
What is Electronic Stability Control? This is a feature of the all new 2013 Dodge Dart that monitors sensors in the steering column and passenger compartment. This is done to continually compare the steering action of the driver to the vehicle’s rotation around its vertical axis.
If the front end of a vehicle is under-steering, or not turning fast enough, ESC will automatically apply the inside rear brake. This is to help the vehicle achieve the turn that is desired.
When the rear end of the vehicle begins to fishtail or slide, ESC automatically engages the outside front brake. This is to correct any over-steering.
In addition to the braking, ESC may also reduce the engine power.

- Comments Off on Dodge Durango: Quality and Refinement
When the Dodge experts sat down and designed the 2011 DodgeDurango, they were designing it as if they would be driving it themselves. They wanted it to be a car that they would want to drive.
Jack Dolan, Chief Engineer of the 2011 Dodge Durango understood that the owners want the utmost quality in their new Dodge. According to Dolan, this is the most tested Dodge Durango in the history of the line, which is proven by the 13.5 million miles of quality testing that was performed. It was tested in many conditions, even including the hot climate of the Arizona desert, mountains, and the coldest regions in the North. This was all done to ensure that the Durango was equipped to handle any task, in any climate.
The quality testers implemented a new level of daily testing procedures in their [...]

- Comments Off on Chrysler 200 vs. Toyota Camry
Last year, Chrysler conducted a comparison study on the Chrysler 200 Limited versus the Toyota Camry SE. Who do you think emerged as the “winner”? Well, here are some key points from what Vehicle Evaluation Specialist, Paul Gerrard had to say:
Acceleration- Thanks to the 283P Pentastar V6 engine, the Chrysler 200 is able to keep the weight evenly distributed upon acceleration
- The Toyota Camry gets a lot of wheel spin which is due to the weight shifted off the front tires toward the back of the vehicle
Successful evasive maneuvering: Chrysler 200 displayed poise and performance
Toyota Camry has a lot of body shifting and a fair amount of understeer, which requires immediate attention from the stability control system, which in turn basically shuts the car down

- Comments Off on How to Negotiate With a Car Dealership
Negotiation of money can be an uncomfortable situation for anyone, regardless if it is for a house, a job salary, or a car. You don’t want to be judged for throwing out a low price but you don’t want to suggest a high dollar figure in fear of getting ripped off. Buying a new or used car is an investment and can be intimidating in itself. On top of that, car salesmen often have the stigma of being pushy. So what are some things you can keep in mind when negotiating with a car dealership?
- First, let’s debunk some myths. Not all car salesmen are pushy. Not all car salesmen are dishonest. And not all car salesmen dislike working with people. Professionals, such as those at Paul Sherry Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge-RAM, are honest people who want to find you your perfect car, regardless of the price tag. The association of car salesmen with the word “pushy” [...]

- Comments Off on 2012 Chrysler Town & Country: 42 Advanced Safety and Technology Features
What was the most surprising about the 2012 Chrysler Town & Country was not the storage space or the entertainment system, but the 42 safety and technology features that come standard. Of course, there is comfort in knowing the Town & Country is equipped with supplemental side-curtain, advanced multistage front, and front seat-mounted side airbags, but the innovative technological safety features are even more impressive.
At one time or another, everyone has had trouble with blind spots, but the Blind Spot Monitoring is a radar technology that will alert you of proximity danger while you drive. An illuminated icon appears on the side view mirror (or you can choose to hear an audible warning) when another vehicle is next to you. Furthermore, the Rear Cross Path Detection will alert you of approaching low-speed vehicles when backing out of a parking spot. This is perfect for places like the grocery store parking lot on a busy [...]

- Comments Off on 2012 Chrysler 200: What is all the hype about?
Well, take a seat in it and you’ll know! I was impressed with this luxury sedan as soon as I opened the door. The first things that stood out to me, being a detail person, were the beautiful black leather seats that were accented with double-stitched white trim. After I adjusted the power seats, I used the integrated controls on the four-spoke steering wheel to choose a radio station via uconnect (touch screen media hub).
As soon as I left the Paul Sherry dealership parking lot, I drove about a quarter mile before I hit the railroad tracks. Normally, I would slow way down before driving over railroad tracks, but I wanted to see how the Chrysler 200 handled a bumpy and uneven surface – to my surprise, it handled beautifully and perfectly smooth. When I turned onto the access road to merge onto the highway, I took the “S” curve at full speed. The [...]

- Comments Off on New Car vs. Used Car?
Thinking of buying a car? Before you buy know what to look for and what questions to ask. Of all the great questions to ask, it seems as though this is the most important car buying question there is.
The first question to ask yourself about buying a car is: Do I need a new car or a used car?
The answer to this question truly lies on how much you are seeking to spend. There are plenty of new cars that are priced the same as used cars, but the difference is in the details. A new car that is priced the same a used cars will most likely be smaller, two door, no air conditioning, and no radio. But for the same price, you can find a used car with low miles that has many features that the low priced new car does not have.
With buying a new car you with get [...]
